Just got this yesterday as a surprise for my parents. My dad drew the rose and the lyrics are from “I Want Something To Live For” by The Rocket Summer and they are in my moms handwriting. Done in Orlando and I am so in love with it.

When I was in about year nine

I split the sides if my flare jeans, plaited some of it with pink ribbon on both sides, stuck some safety pins at the top of the split to pin it closed and wrote “alisha-jane” on the back in some paint.

I haven’t done anything remotely customery to any of my clothes since then, this must change.

Although, it’ll be done in a more chic fashion.
